Update:
Shrek has graduated from foster care and is ready for his forever home!
Shrek shone in his foster home, where he learned to live as a pet with a lovely couple and their two young daughters.
Clearly a fan of children, Shrek has bonded with their two girls; “He has been an extremely safe dog with the kids and very, very loving.” the family said.
This amazing first-time foster home have put love and time into teaching Shrek about pet life.
Shrek has mastered;
- Toilet training,
- Going to his mat/bed,
- Occupying himself for two to three hours, and;
- Being polite while people eat.
Shrek’s foster family report that he is a keen learner, loves playing with balls (especially bouncy ones) and is polite when meeting people.
Shrek’s Profile:
Like the 2001 classic, Shrek is sure to provide entertainment that never gets old. Unlike his namesake, you don’t have to unpeel any layers to find this affectionate boy’s loving side. Shrek’s playful and gentle nature lends him to being suitable to join human brothers and sisters of five years and older. Preferring canines of his own kind, Shrek could join a home with a resident greyhound. Shrek could manage spending up to six hours without human company, possibly longer with enrichment and training. Shrek would enjoy one or two 20 minute walks per day.
