A huge thank you to every human and hound who joined us for the Canning River Greyt Walk on May 10th, 2025! We were treated to perfect walking weather, and it was wonderful to see such a fantastic turnout.
We offered two walk options to suit every hound (and human). A 500m loop for our older greyhounds or those with limitations, and a longer 1.8km stroll for the more energetic crowd. No matter the pace, the morning was filled with wagging tails, happy sniffs, and the pitter patter of paws along the Canning River.
We were absolutely blown away by the turnout, around 50 greyhounds (and two whippets), came together united by a shared love for this incredible breed. It was heartwarming to see new friendships forming, both canine and human.
A special shout out to the amazing team at Canning River Café for being such awesome hosts and keeping us well caffeinated post walk. Their space was the perfect spot to relax, refuel, and continue the chats with fellow greyhound humans.
We hope you and your hound had a pawtastic time, and we’re already looking forward to seeing you at the next Greyt Walk.
