Alien is on the lookout for a confident adopter experienced with large, outgoing dogs. Alien has an out of this world personality whose enthusiasm requires knowledgeable management.
Alien is playful, confident, outgoing and ready to explore the universe by your side! Gathering home-life experience in foster care, Alien is well-practiced as a solo-explorer ‘hound and prefers his own company. Alien finds the activity of quick moving animals a little too exciting and so is best placed in a home with fences at least 1.8m high, and no visiting small animals or view of parks and/or busy streets. With correct handling Alien is manageable walking past other dogs on lead and enjoys joining his people on adventures. Alien has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. He can be enthusiastic with toys and play, so his ideal humans are nine years old or older, people who are okay with him zooming around like a little rocket. Alien has practiced relaxing for up to five hours without his people in foster care. Alien would love to go on one or two 20‑minute spacewalks, giving him the chance to chart new territories and keep his sensors calibrated before he returns to bed to refuel. Alien’s favourite earthly treasure is balls, he loves to zoom after them and would LOVE you to throw them for him. His foster carers say: “Alien has the most loveable exaggerated play bow that never fails to bring a smile to your face. He is the most expressive dog, so beautifully natured and just ready to love on everyone and play all day (in between his typical greyhound naps of course!)”. Alien is working his on socialisation skills with dogs and his new home will need to continue this education into order improve this manners.
