¡Hola! Amigo is a super happy, playful, friendly hound who truly believes everyone he meets is instantly his bestest friend ever.  He would do best sharing his palazzo with medium or large doggie siblings. He’s social but his enthusiasm and long legs can be a bit much for smaller pups. Amigo has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. Because his play style includes lots of zoomies and excitable greetings, Amigo would prefer a home where all humans are fourteen years or older. Amigo has been practicing his good doggo skills in a home, and has happily managed six or more hours without his people. Exercise is the perfect middle ground of lazy greyhound and fun dog, one or two 20‑minute walks a day plus some playtime will keep his tail wagging like maracas. Amigo loves toys, loves people, loves zoomies, and just loves love. He’s ready to bring the colour, laughter and heart of a fiesta into the right home.

Our Adoption Process

Submit Your Application

The information your provide when submitting an application helps the team find your best match. This information can include other four and two legged members of the home, the length time the dog will be left alone and your desired temperament.

Match Making & Info Gathering

The GAP Team will review your application and may get in contact with any additional questions. From this information they will check through our available greyhounds to find your perfect match.

Meet Your Match

Check your emails for your perfect match's profile. If you agree with our team we'll be in contact to arrange "Meet & Greet" appointment at our Southern River Facility. All going well, the chosen doggo will head home with you that day. Had a different dog in mind? No worries, we'll find another pooch for your home.

Welcome Home!

As a part of the Meet & Greet the team will talk you through how to settle your new friend into your home. There will also be information sent via email ahead of the appointment and printed to take home. The GAP team are available to provide support during these exciting times.
