Angler is a super social and happy hound who has all the warmth and joy of a sunny beach day. He’s got that cheeky sparkle of a playful fish darting through the deep blue. Angler could join doggie ‘siblings’ of any size from tiny minnows to big tunas. Angler has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. Because his zoomies can roll in like a wave he’d prefer a home where all humans are nine years or older, people who can enjoy his fun goofy splashes of energy. Angler can stay home alone for up to three hours and with canine company and some training he may be able to stretch that time as he settles into his new waters. He loves one or two 20‑minute walks a day, exploring the neighbourhood currents, sniffing the “seaweed,” and show off his supper waggy tail

Each dog who wears one of our green collars has been assessed by trained animal behaviourists. GAP is the only rehoming group in WA able to grant green collar status.

Our Adoption Process

Submit Your Application

The information your provide when submitting an application helps the team find your best match. This information can include other four and two legged members of the home, the length time the dog will be left alone and your desired temperament.

Match Making & Info Gathering

The GAP Team will review your application and may get in contact with any additional questions. From this information they will check through our available greyhounds to find your perfect match.

Meet Your Match

Check your emails for your perfect match's profile. If you agree with our team we'll be in contact to arrange "Meet & Greet" appointment at our Southern River Facility. All going well, the chosen doggo will head home with you that day. Had a different dog in mind? No worries, we'll find another pooch for your home.

Welcome Home!

As a part of the Meet & Greet the team will talk you through how to settle your new friend into your home. There will also be information sent via email ahead of the appointment and printed to take home. The GAP team are available to provide support during these exciting times.
