A legend named after a legend, this rockstar’s personality is as bold as his namesake. Axel greets everyone with happy tail wags and lots of kisses (knees and hands are his favourite). The humans in Axel’s home should be nine years old or as he sometimes needs a reminder about his manners but he promises he tries so hard, his excitement just bubbles over now and then. Axel would prefer to be a solo hound in your home, soaking up all the love and attention. Axel loves being around his VIPs but could stay home alone up to six hours at a time. This could improve after a settling in period and with enrichment. Axel would enjoy touring around his new world and showing off his fabulous lash manners for one or two 20-minute daily walks. When it comes to playtime Axel knows how to keep the crowd entertained. Give him a big ball to push around and you’ll be laughing at his antics and enthusiasm for sure.
Axel is always eager to be part of the whatever is going on and loves ‘helping’ in staff photoshoots if it means he can get all the attention and love he deserves. Axel has spent a little longer than most in our care, which just means he’s had extra time to polish up his skills and tricks with our team. He’s a total superstar at learning tricks already having sit, lay down, and even spin on his setlist!
With a heart full of passion, a flair for fun, and tricks to wow the crowd, Axel is ready to take centre stage in a forever home !
