Checkers is a social and playful lad is always ready for the next move and the next game. Checkers has a zest for life that is unmistakable, this boy simply likes everything: toys, walks, people, games… you name it. Checkers could live with medium or large doggie ‘siblings’ who compliment his playful strategy. Checkers has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. Because Checkers can get enthusiastic with toys he’d do best in a home where all humans are nine years or older and can join in with his games. Checkers can stay home alone for up to six hours. With canine company and a routine he may be able to extend that time as he settles into his new “game plan”. One or two 20‑minute walks a day are perfect for him, just enough time to explore the neighbourhood like a chessboard full of interesting squares. Checkers loves toys, adores playtime, and always brings a sense of fun to whatever’s happening. He’s the kind of dog who makes every day feel like a lively round of your favourite board game.
If you’re looking for a bright, friendly companion with a big heart Checkers is ready to take his place on your board.
