Fondz is a wonderful mix of affectionate and easygoing, with a playful and silly side. This fun and sweet hound is sure to brighten your day whether zooming around or snuggling up for pats. Fondz could join any sized doggie ‘sibling’ from small to tall if they complimented his social nature. Fondz has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. His absolute favourite things (besides his people) are toys and ear scratches. When you scratch the right spot he will lean heavier and heavier against you, nearly toppling over while letting out contented long groans. Toys make Fondz’ energetic and silly side shine through! He loves a bit of zooming and toy tossing while bouncing around the yard. His ideal home would have humans aged 14 and up as his enthusiasm during play may be overwhelming for tiny toys. Younger children who are confident and dog savvy could also be a good match. Fondz could comfortably stay home alone for up to six hours at a time. This could be lengthened with canine company and routine.
Fondz is the best of both worlds; affectionate, loving and easygoing with just enough playfulness to keep things fun.
Fondz Foster update | Fondz is looking for his perfect home
Fondz is settling into pet life as a solo hound and showing his foster human just how loveable and confident he is.
Fondz is acing many aspects of pet life, successfully understanding toilet training, walking well on leash and spending up to four hours on his own. When out and about Fondz is a confident explorer, he loves to sniff and enjoys meeting new people (even if he can be a bit boisterous with his hellos at times). His foster humans say “he’s a boisterous but very loveable boy”.
While he hasn’t had the chance to meet any children yet he has met dogs of all sizes on walks and is a polite gentleman when saying hello. Fondz can have a bit of a playful side with larger breeds.
Fondz is still learning some household boundaries but he’s eager to please and responsive to gentle guidance, he very much wants to be the bestest boy. His foster humans have let us know that he enjoys self-play with his toys and his favourite treats are peanut butter and chicken, two guaranteed ways to win his heart!
His foster humans told us “overall he’s a super lovely boy, and just wants to be loved back.”
To set Fondz up for success, his forever and foster homes would be similar environments, and include;
✅ Solo hound or any sized canine ‘siblings’
✅ Lots of peanut butter!
✅ All house members 14 years or older
