A ray of sunshine and the embodiment of golden nature, Helios truly lives up to his name. Helios is a rainbow of friendly, affectionate and a little bit of cheek. Ready to nurture and grow his new friendships, Helios could join a home with small or tall doggy rays of sunshine. Helios’ bright personality lends itself to coexisting with a cat given the right set up and introduction. Helios’ two-legged mortal mates could have living on this earth for as few as nine years, although if dog savvy and confident they could be a little younger. With a canine companion, Helios could happily spend longer stretches without his people. If he is a solo hound, their preferred alone time limit is around six hours. Helios would enjoy discovering the wonders of his new neighbourhood once or twice a day for around 20 minutes.

Helios is loving, friendly boy who can wait to shine in his forever home.

Our Adoption Process

Submit Your Application

The information your provide when submitting an application helps the team find your best match. This information can include other four and two legged members of the home, the length time the dog will be left alone and your desired temperament.

Match Making & Info Gathering

The GAP Team will review your application and may get in contact with any additional questions. From this information they will check through our available greyhounds to find your perfect match.

Meet Your Match

Check your emails for your perfect match's profile. If you agree with our team we'll be in contact to arrange "Meet & Greet" appointment at our Southern River Facility. All going well, the chosen doggo will head home with you that day. Had a different dog in mind? No worries, we'll find another pooch for your home.

Welcome Home!

As a part of the Meet & Greet the team will talk you through how to settle your new friend into your home. There will also be information sent via email ahead of the appointment and printed to take home. The GAP team are available to provide support during these exciting times.
