Snuggly and goofy Joanie is ready to find her furever home where she will be doted on as much as this little lady deserves. This affectionate and people loving girl is all about human companionship and would love to join a family who would let her be involved in their activities, whether it be chores around the house or grand adventures. Joanie would prefer to be the only canine in the home and has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. Joanie could join humans in the home that were nine years old or older as she can sometimes get a little enthusiastic with her play (she loves a good zoom with a toy). With enrichment and a comfy dog bed to snooze the day away in Joanie could manage up to three hours on her own. Joanie would love one or two 20 minute walks a day to keep her healthy and her tail wagging! Joanie is working on socialisation skills with small sized dogs and her new home will need to continue her education into order improve her manners around small sized dogs.
If you’re looking for a cuddly, loving and slightly goofy companion, Joanie might just be the perfect match.
Joanie Foster Update | Goofy girl looking for a snuggly home
Joanie has been pampered and spoilt in foster care but is ready to find her furever home. Joanie’s foster humans describe her as “loving, snuggly, playful, clumsy, and confident at home”. She has a favourite orangutan toy that she LOVES to toss into the air, which will be following her to her future furever home.
We have been told that Joanie is very much a people pup, greeting both family members and guests with enthusiasm, cuddles, and a want to get as close as physically possible. However, she is understanding that strangers on the street want their space and calmly ignores them (until they say hello).
Joanie is acing a lot of aspects of pet life. She has taken toilet training in her stride, settled well into the home’s routine, and remains on her bed while dinner is cooking. While she is gaining confidence every day, she is still learning about new experiences (she is not the biggest fan of wearing coats yet) however she is making amazing progress with consistency and support.
Joanie is a wonderful hound that will definitely keep her humans laughing daily with her goofy antics.
To set Joanie up for success, her forever and foster homes would be similar environments, and include;
✅ Active and playful household
✅ Only dog in the home
✅ All house members nine years or older
