Kerchak may share his Disney namesake’s loyalty and confidence, but this social greyhound brings a much more affectionate twist to the character. While the movie gorilla was reserved and serious our Kerchak is friendly, playful, and just a little bit cheeky! Kerchak could join a doggie ‘sibling’ of any size and breed, from marmosets to fellow gorillas. Kerchak has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. Kerchak perfectly content being left at home for six or more hours, as long as he has a cozy dog bed (firmly on the ground, no tree nests please) and a tasty treat to nibble on. Kerchak has excellent leash manners that would make Jane proud and would love to show them off on one or two 20 minute walks a day. Although he is a gentleman on leash, he is still polishing his manners around toys so a home where all little Tarzans were nine years old or older is ideal. With a bit of gentle guidance, he will no doubt be a wonderful playmate and loyal friend.
