Ned is a playful, friendly and social lad. Like his namesake, Ned has plenty of character. He’s confident, outgoing and always keen to join the action. Ned could share his “camp” with doggie siblings of any size, from little bush companions to big station-working mates. Ned has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. Because he’s still learning a few manners around toys and can get a little carried away when the fun starts, he’d prefer all the little ankle-biters in the home to be fourteen years or older. He’s a wonderfully social boy who just has a few lessons left to complete at bushranger school. Exercise is classic greyhound style, one or two 20-minute walks a day are plenty to keep him happy.
Friendly, fun and full of Australian charm, Ned is ready for life as a much-loved family member.
Ned Foster Update | Lovely boy ready to join his forever family
Ned has flourished in his foster home, proving to be a loving and playful dog who enjoys connecting with his people. “Ned has meshed into our lives so beautifully.” his foster family say.
Ned has been living as a solo hound, regularly managing up to four hours on his own and the odd full day with no issues. Ned has been picking up on pet life rules well, having mastered toilet training and politely walking on the lead. Ned happily walks past other dogs without a worry. Ned even joined the 2026 Great Global Greyhound walk and was a star!
Ned’s foster family have been teaching him “on your bed” and to “wait” when giving treats or walking out the door. They say he’s such a smart boy and picking everything up so quickly. His forever family will have a great time teaching him new tricks and commands!
“(Ned is) just the most awesome loving boy who will bring so much joy into his new home and they are sure to love him back just as much.” His foster family say. “…it’s such a joy to watch him romp around he has so much personality.”
To set Ned up for success, their forever and foster homes would be similar environments, and include;
✅ No other dogs (although Ned has proven to be a social boy)
✅ Lots of toys to play fetch with
✅ A mature home who’s confident with big doggos
