Ocean is a splash of fun with a personality as bright as a summer day at the beach and enough good vibes to rival a holiday. Playful, confident and friendly with just a little ripple of cheeky that keeps things entertaining. This hound could dock into a home with medium or large doggie ‘siblings’. He would suit a family where all crew members are nine years old or older as Ocean can occasionally forget to control his long legs and zoomies when he gets excited. Ocean has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. Ocean is comfortable being left alone for up to six hours at a time. With a canine company or some ongoing training that time could lengthen. Like any true greyhound he doesn’t need endless laps of the shoreline just one or two 20-minute walks a day will keep this hound content. However the walks may be a little longer as Ocean insists on saying hello to everyone he meets while waving his enormous helicopter-style tail like a lighthouse beacon.
Ocean is currently in foster care and has been a little superstar. After a settling in period, he is comfortably staying home alone for up to eight hours, has successfully gotten the hang of toilet training, and has even figured out the stairs! Ocean has made a playmate with an older border collie and would like doggie playdates in his furever home. Overall, he is a social, friendly and happy boy that loves the chance to make new friends, human and dogs alike. His foster humans summarise him as an “always happy boy with a cute personality”.
If you’re searching for a friendly, fun-loving greyhound who brings sunny skies and a constantly wagging tail Ocean might just be the perfect catch of the day.
