Our pretty Piper is ready to pick her pack of playful and peachy people. Piper could join a medium or large doggie sibling that complimented her friendly and curious nature. Piper has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. The little humans in Piper’s life would preferable be nine years old as her play may be overwhelming to young tots. Piper is starting to get the hang of fetch, she loves the enthusiastic zoom after the toy but sometimes forgets the return part in all her excitement! With a bit more practice, she’ll be a fetch pro in no time. Piper has no problem staying home alone for up to six hours at a time as long as she has a comfy dog bed and a chewy treat. This could lengthen with canine company and routine. Like a typical greyhound Piper needs one or two 20 minute walks a day to keep her tail wagging!
If you’re looking for a sweet and playful girl Piper might be the perfect pup to complete your pack.
Piper Foster Update | Pretty Piper prepping for her permanent place
Piper is thriving in her foster home as a solo hound and has been showing her foster humans just how calm, easy going and affectionate she is.
Piper has slotted beautifully into her foster family’s routine and is taking pet life in her stride. She’s happy spending time on her own for up to eight hours and quickly got the hang of toilet training. Her foster humans describe her as a friendly girl who enjoys meeting new people and loves hanging out with the kids in the home. Piper is often found leaning against someone’s legs to soak up every pat and scritch she can get.
Her favourite time of day? When her humans come home from work. She absolutely lights up when she welcomes them home and adores being involved in their activities.
Walks are another big highlight for Piper. She gets so excited when she sees the lead come out, but she’s a polite lady on leash, no pulling just polite and happy exploring. She’s enjoyed meeting other greyhounds and larger dogs out and about, always greeting them with good manners (she just hasn’t had the chance met any small dogs yet).
Her foster humans say she’s the easiest, calmest dog they’ve ever had. With her gentle nature, friendly attitude and adaptable personality it’s easy to see why. They would like her future home to know a few of her favourite foods: eggs, tuna and cheeky snacks like dumplings or cooked potato.
To set Piper up for success, her forever and foster homes would be similar environments, and include;
✅ Solo hound with playmate opportunities or medium/large doggie ‘siblings’
✅ Lots of yummy treats
✅ All house members nine years or older
