Stanford is a playful, friendly and confident lad with a personality to earn top marks wherever he goes. If there were a university dedicated to being a great dog, he’d already be on the Dean’s List. Stanford could join doggie siblings of any size, from tiny first-year freshmen to towering tenured professors. Stanford has practiced living alongside a fellow hound in foster care. His carers say; “He settled in beautifully, like he had always been here. He’s had no issues with Chelsea (Greyhound) or my sister’s Staffies, he fitted in perfect, like a glove.” Stanford has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. Because he loves people so much and can occasionally forget that smaller tots require a gentler touch, he’d prefer a home where all children are nine years or older. Stanford can stay home alone for up to three hours as a solo dog. With canine company or continued training that time may be able to extend. Exercise requirements are typical greyhound, one or two 20-minute walks a day are enough to keep him happy and help him maintain his degree in Neighbourhood Exploration. “Seriously, he is really easy and I love seeing his personality shine and becoming a real character.” Stanford’s foster carers say.
Playful, confident and full of academic-level charm, Stanford is ready to graduate into his forever home and accept the most prestigious qualification of all: Doctorate of Being a Very Good Boy.
Stanford | Acing his pet life training
Stanford, or Stan as he is affectionately called, has settled beautifully into his foster home and is proving to be a truly special companion. This gorgeous boy is affectionate, cuddly and full of love, earning himself the nickname “Love Bug Stan”. Stanford has fitted in wonderfully with a foster sibling greyhound and welcomed visiting dogs.
When exploring the world outside his home Stanford can need some gentle encouragement. Stanford would likely benefit from a calm canine friend to help build his confidence.
Stanford endears himself to everyone he meets with his curious and goofy personality. His foster carer describes him as a gentleman in everything he does. At home, Stan is easy to have around and has managed up to six hours without people alongside his canine companion. Stanford enjoys his treats!

To set Stanford up for success, their forever and foster homes would be similar environments, and include;
