Yowie is currently in foster care learning all about pet life. They will be available once their foster period has been completed, but applications are welcome before that time.

Yowie is a big and friendly fella that is the happiest “cryptid” you’ll ever meet. Yowie is an independent boy in that classic Aussie-bush way: content doing his own thing while you’re out living life or just as happy to be tagging along by your side. He could share his home with a medium or large size doggie mate who won’t mind bunking with a living legend. Yowie has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. Yowie’s is easygoing bloke when it comes to alone time and could stay home alone for six hours or longer if he has some enrichment and toys to keep him occupied, making him suited to full-time workers. Yowie enjoys human company but is not a fan of over-the-top patting or rough housing so kids aged nine and up are right up his alley. He doesn’t need treks through the bush, just one or two 20 minute walks will keep his tail wagging.

If you’ve ever wished you could bring home a friendly and mythical hound with a heart as big as the outback, Yowie might just be the legend you’ve been waiting for.
