Greyhounds as Pets WA (GAPWA) is thrilled to invite greyhound enthusiasts and first-time adopters alike to our Summer Safari Adoption Day on Saturday 7th of November 2026.
Deep in the Southern River ‘savannah’, a remarkable herd of greyhounds will be gathering, each on the lookout for their very own forever family. From playful explorers to champion loungers, you never know what rare and wonderful hound you might meet!
Our experienced GAPWA safari team will guide you through the journey, helping you track down the perfect companion for your lifestyle.

Choose from one of our three one-hour expeditions:
🦓 8:30am
🦁 9:30am
🐘 10:30am
During your session, you’ll meet suitable hounds selected especially for your household, with the goal of taking your new best friend home on the day.

If your household young tots, please book the 8:30am expedition.
These highly sought-after hounds are often the first to find their forever packs, so early explorers will have the best opportunity to meet them. Please note that hounds cannot be placed on hold.
Please note no cat tolerant dogs will available on the day. If you are interested in adding a cat tolerant greyhound to your home, please submit an application so the team can be in contact when a suitable ‘hound becomes available.
