Dapples is like a perfect autumn afternoon wrapped up in greyhound form. Warm, gentle and endlessly sweet, this lovely girl brings the same cosy feeling as hot chocolate and sweaters. Dapples could join doggie siblings of any size from tiny saplings to giant old oaks. While she adores people, her excitement can occasionally blossom during toy time, so children in the home would preferably be nine or older. She could join younger children if they were familiar and comfortable around playful dogs. One or two 20-minute walks each day will keep her tail wagging like a branch swaying in an autumn breeze. With a canine companion, Dapples could happily spend longer stretches without her people. If she’s a solo hound, six hours is a comfortable amount of alone time while her new routine settles into place. Dapples has Pannus, an eye condition which is easily treated with daily eye drops and doggie sunglasses when in the sun, and does not affect her quality of life.
