Irwin is ready to become a household name in his very own forever home. Friendly, sweet and packed with charm just don’t expect him to burst through the door shouting “Crikey!”. Irwin prefers a gentler approach to life, taking a little time to warm up before letting his full personality come into view. Irwin could share his habitat with medium or larger doggie companions. He’s social but simply hasn’t had much experience with smaller pups yet. Irwin has been assessed as unable to go to a home with cats. Children aged nine years and older would suit Irwin best. While he’s a lovely he’s not the sort to arrive and immediately become everyone’s best mate. He’d appreciate kids who understand that friendships sometimes take time to develop and that the best wildlife encounters happen when you let the animal come to you. One or two 20-minute walks each day are all this lovable explorer needs. There’s no requirement for expeditions through the great outback or treks across the Australian wilderness. If Irwin is a solo hound, he has shown he can comfortably manage more than six hours home alone, making him suitable for a household where everyone heads off on their daily adventures.
If you’ve been searching for a rare and remarkable Australian treasure then crikey, Irwin might just be the one.
